AFI & AFA Best Practice Day, Plumpton College, 15th March 2024
Tornado was the primary sponsor at the Association of Fencing Industries & AFA Best Practice Day, Plumpton College, 15th March 2024
The sell-out event saw over 125 fencing professionals attend the day of learning and networking at the Association of Fencing Industries & Agricultural Fencing Association Best Practice Day! Plumpton agricultural college in Lewes, UK were the event hosts and looked after everyone with bacon rolls and coffee/tea on arrival plus lunches. The AFI charged a nominal £10 per ticket fee to cover these costs, meaning that they are a great value event to attend.
Attendees gained valuable insights and exchanged ideas with industry experts and fellow fencers. The team of expert fencing professionals who were demonstrating showed livestock, horse and deer fence installations on both timber and steel post systems. The sessions were highly interactive with lots of questions on the best approaches for a range of different circumstances and ground conditions.
Tornado was able to showcase its new Pro-Strain steel strainer system, which gives fencers the same adaptability they get when working with timber by combining the system components to produce angled or box strutted fence strainers which have the reliable strength and longevity you can rely on with galvanised steel.
The AFI also delivered some business insight classroom sessions helping to support fencing professionals on how to prepare successful and profitable quotations and tenders.
The Plumpton event was the third AFI Best Practice day in the series, which are now coming to different regions of the UK. Lookout for forthcoming events in the months to come.
